I used a CPAP for 10 years and got to a point where I couldn’t tolerate it any longer.  I had surgery to help relieve the symptoms with approximately 50% success (weeks later the surgeon wanted to operate again).  Three years later, still suffering the effects of sleep apnea and discussing all of my options, my pulmonologist recommended I see Dr. Genninger as a first step.   After meeting with Dr. G and his staff I was fitted for an appliance that I use for sleep.  The appliance holds my lower jaw forward allowing my air passage to remain open during sleep.  Since receiving my appliance I have experienced the best restful sleep of my life.  Needless to say my pulmonologist and I haven’t considered any other options since.  I should also mention that I now use Dr. G for all of my dental care.  He and his staff are the best!

If you suffer with sleep apnea, I recommend you contact Dr. G for a consultation and fitting before going the CPAP or surgery route.  Take if from someone who has been down both roads, you will thank yourself and Dr. G for taking this route.
